The climate in Provence is typically Mediterranean, characterized by hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Summer temperatures often soar above 30°C (86°F), especially in July and August, while the region enjoys abundant sunshine. Winters are generally mild, with average temperatures ranging from 5°C to 15°C (41°F to 59°F). Rainfall is more common in the autumn and winter months, with the region receiving most of its precipitation during this time. The combination of warm summers and cooler winters makes Provence ideal for growing a variety of crops, including grapes, olives, and lavender, contributing to its agricultural richness and scenic beauty.
