Do you feel like having sportive activities? We can recommend you

1. Horse riding. There are several possibilities for accompanied horse riding in and his horses in the reach of a 10 min walk.
2. Tennis court in the village.
3. Boules (Petanques) daily at the market place.
4. Swimming in the peaceful and well cared open air swimming pool in Pernes-les-Fontaines (4 km), in Isle sur la Sorgue (5km) or Carpentras (12 km)
5. Cycling – we have several maps proposing you means of discovering Provence byke.
6. Footing or hiking on Plâteau de Vaucluse (starting point at 500m), or following the Canal de Carpentras either towards Isle sur la Sorgue, Saumane and Fontaine de Vaucluse or towards Pernes les Fontaines and Carpentras or on the small local roads
7. Golf in St Antoine (5 km) or in Avignon (17 km)
8. Canoe in Fontaine de Vaucluse, the Sorgue river

CULTURE

1. Theatre festival in Avignon in July.
2. Free light music concerts organized several times a week during June and July by Velleron and the surrounding villages.

1. Sit down in the cafés, listen and see the people. There are three cafés in Velleron and much more in the local towns and villages
2. Visit the Velleron farmers’ market and other local markets. There are several markets daily in Provence. We provide you with information to find the most interesting ones
3. Visit local companies – regular visits organized
4. Visit a local artist’s or craftsman’s workshop
5. Get introduced to local people by your hosts and visit their home

HISTORY

You are interested in visiting historical sites and monuments.

1. Sit down in the cafés, listen and see the people. There are three cafés in Velleron and much more in the local towns and villages
2. Art exhibitions in nearly every village and town
3. Several interesting museums and cultural sites. One of my favorites is the old Jewish synagogue in Cavaillon.
4. Visit a castle owned and still in use for housing by the same family since centuries.
